Sherle took the high road, I took the low road. Back in March I took a
detour by the Big Blue River where it runs under US Highway 24. There is a
walking/biking path and a boat launch in a little turnoff from the highway. I
drive over this bridge countless times each week, but rarely stop. On this day
there were canoe-ers on the river; a girl on a bike accompanied by her golden
retriever who vaulted from the boat ramp to fetch a stick and cool off (the
dog, not the girl); assorted joggers; and me, the girl with the camera. This
shot came out better once viewed on the computer than it looked when I took
it. The simple angles and lines of the girders that keep me from
plunging into the river when I wish to cross from one side to the other...
