2003 Archive.htm

This is my kid, DJ. That short black thing he's holding in his right hand is what's left of the propeller that broke off the plane at who knows how many thousand feet above the Southern California Desert. Thanks to some phenomenal flying by his grandfather and probably the work of a whole host of angels, the two of them were able to walk away from an air disaster that the FAA guy who took the report called 'un-survivable.' One 3/8 inch bolt is all that kept them from plunging uncontrollably to the desert floor. You can read the newspaper article here.
